Just like other PC accessory brands out there, Corsair has its own software suite available for download. Called 'iCUE,' the suite is able to handle the configuration of macros, manipulating RGB lighting, and much more. Here's how to quickly set up your new Scimitar mouse, though the steps for other Corsair mice are also similar.
Configuring your Scimitar mouse's side buttons
The Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite is the third iteration of the Scimitar, after the original and Pro versions. In the attempts of being the best gaming mouse for MOBA/MMO gamers, it features 17. Just got my Scimitar in the mail today and am loving it. I'm moving on from my old Naga 2014, so I was wondering about key bindings settings in CUE versus Razer Synapse. I like binding one of the numbers on the keypad to Ctrl (12 to be exact) so I can zoom in and out of webpages while I.
The Scimitar is an excellent mouse for MOBAs and MMORPGs, but it doesn't simply 'work' out of the box. You need to do a little tinkering to get the buttons on the side of the pointer to work. Luckily, with iCUE, it's not that big of a deal and takes but a moment. Just follow these steps:
- Download iCUE.
- Install the software, following the wizard.
- Open up iCUE.
- Select your mouse on the right.
- Hit 'Actions' on the left panel.
- Choose the buttons on the right-hand side and select an action for each of the G keys.
You should now be able to use all the buttons on the side that you programmed. I have mine set to numbers 1 through 0, and F11, F12 for G11 and G12, respectively. How you go about customizing this to fit your playstyle is entirely up to you.
Lighting up your settings
Other options available through iCUE include altering CPI settings and profiles, which can be easily switched between using the two central buttons behind the scroll wheel. There are also various color lighting options to choose from, and surface calibration is a handy feature to enhance the tracking on your mousepad.

Optimized specifically for MOBA/MMO games, the Scimitar Pro offers a total of 12 buttons that work with a key slider system that lets you adjust their positioning up to 8mm and securely lock them into place. The buttons are designed for consistent tactile feedback and include textured side button keycaps for enhanced feel (plus color-coded DPI profiles!).

By Trusted Reviews on 80 A fantastic mouse that’s perfect when placed in the right hands.
By Digit on 65 If you spend more time playing MOBA games, spending such a high amount is completely justified. If you’re more of a casual gamer only playing for fun, you should stick to keyboard binds. For competitive MMO/MOBA gamers, the Scimitar Pro RGB is a great choice.
By ThinkComputers on 100 Like I said I’ve used and tested multiple mice designed for MMO and MOBA gamers and the Scimitar PRO RGB quite possibly is the best mouse for those types of games I’ve encountered yet. I rarely says this, but Corsair’s execution here is near perfect!

By Ocaholic on 80 The Corsair Scimitar Pro RGB is a solid product, and overall, we were impressed by the build quality and the comfortable shape. The build quality as well as the materials used are perfect. On the underside there are reasonably sized glide pads, which have been made from teflon.

By gamecrate.com on You've been playing DOTA2, LOL, or HOTS, and you're getting better, when suddenly it feels like you've hit a wall. You're always just a little bit late with your abilities, and you always seem to miss your skill shots. You think to yourself “maybe if I...
By eTeknix on How To Program Corsair Scimitar
This mouse certainly isn’t for everyone, and it’s pretty extreme. If you have five buttons and never wanted for more, this isn’t much use to you… or is it? It’s one of those tools that once you have it and configure it, you’ll wonder how you did without it. I set my multimedia, zoom functions, copy, paste, and all kinds of stuff to my mouse and the productivity boost alone is huge. Then when it comes to gaming, you can streamline so many commands, your enemies will never know what hit them. Sound like something you desire? At this price, you really can take the risk!
